Jane Crowfoot, Bohemian Blooms Sussex Garden Colourway by Emma May crochet yarn pack
A note from Jane:
I love my Bohemian Blooms blanket design, but I felt that it had more potential than the original shades and layout that I had chosen, so I put together a new version called Bloomsbury Gardens. At the same time, Emma May of Pippin Poppycock, came up with her own colour way of the design, which she has very Kindly allowed me to share with you. We have called Emma’s version Sussex Garden.
Inspired by English Artists, Country Gardens and London’s Garden Squares and written in my distinctive style, with step-by-step images and explanations along the way, this design includes crochet flower motifs, butterflies, circles and striped stitch formations and I have included an array of techniques, including beading, textural layered pieces and bobbles.
The Bohemian Blooms soft back book includes the patterns for all the motifs used in my blanket, with images and clear written instructions and piecing diagrams to help you along the way. The book is 96 pages and includes the story behind my inspiration for the project, many tips and techniques and links to helpful YouTube videos and technical downloads which offer on line guidance through the techniques used in this project, such as beading, bobbles, colour work and 3D crochet. This project is aimed at those with a good knowledge of crochet stitches and abbreviations and is written using UK terminology.
Please note that this project is not worked along the lines of a traditional Crochet Along (CAL) project. Patterns are only available within the brochure and it is laid out in a way that means you can follow it through at your own speed and in your own chosen order should you wish.
There is a dedicated Facebook group for the Bohemian Blooms project. The group is not run by me, but is looked after by the fabulous Karen Citrine.

Pre-blocked measurements – Approximately 124cm (49in) x 124cm (49in).
Blocked measurements – Approximately 127 (50in) x 127 (50in).
