We are no longer stocking the kit for the original Rowan version of the Bohemian Blooms CAL blanket, instead we have an alternative version that includes yarns from the Stylecraft range. The kit contains 26 balls of yarn, but does not include the beads as we are aware that not everyone likes using beads. If you would like to purchase beads separately we recommend using the beads listed in the pattern from Debbie Abrahams Beads. If you choose not to use beads substitute the beaded stitches “bdc” for “dc” and “btr” for “tr” (UK Terminology).

Please note that this project is not worked along the lines of a traditional Crochet Along (CAL) project. Patterns are only available within the book and it is laid out in a way that means you can follow it through at your own speed and in your own chosen order should you wish.

There is a dedicated Facebook group for the Bohemian Blooms project. The group is not run by Janie Crow, but is looked after by the fabulous Karen Citrine, who also hosts the Persian Tiles group.

The pattern is written for yarns from the Rowan range.

Equipment used:

Crochet hooks – 3.5mm (US-E/4) & 4mm (US-G/6) & 4.5mm (US-US7).

Finished measurement:
Pre-blocked measurements – Approximately 124cm (49in) x 124cm (49in).
Blocked measurements – Approximately 127 (50in) x 127 (50in).
